When I started my shop, I was about 6 months pregnant with twins and had just left my day job so I could take it easy for the rest of my pregnancy. The idea to make baby booties stemmed from the desire to make something that my twins could wear. As any crafter or creator could probably relate, I was only able to feasibly keep and use a few pairs for each baby - everything else needed a home. When people saw my booties I kept hearing "You could sell those!" I had always been a fan of hand-made things and loved the idea of one day running an etsy shop, but it wasn't until then that I realized I had finally found a niche to get me started. With full support and encouragement from my wonderful husband, I decided to dive in and see what happens. SewSpecialCrafts has been going strong ever since!
My shop currently offers baby booties primarily, but I have plans to expand in the near future and hope you all stick around to see what SewSpecialCrafts has in store!
